Holy Week begins this week: please join us for worship and on the Shepherdcast
This year, as we remember what Jesus did for us, we invite you to join us for special services throughout Holy Week and on Easter Sunday.

Holy Week begins on March 28 with Palm Sunday. For that service, we will worship God with a dramatic reading of The Passion of Our Lord according to St. Mark. (Note: if you would like to be a reader during this service, Pastor Scott is looking for volunteers!)

Our Maundy Thursday Service will be on April 1 at 7 PM. We will have the stripping of the altar during that service. We will also offer Holy Communion as we remember the very first Holy Communion at the Last Supper.
Our Good Friday (April 2) observance will also be at 7 PM, which will be a Tenebrae Service. Tenebrae means “shadows” or “darkness.” This service involves the extinguishing of candles as a reminder of the darkness surrounding the Passion and Death of our Lord.

We will celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord on Easter Sunday, April 4th, at our regular worship time of 9:30 AM. Holy Communion will be offered on this day of Christian celebration according to our pandemic guidelines.
For all four of these special services, we invite you to join us! You can join us in-person (you can copy service times from our calendar to yours here), or listen afterwards on the Shepherdcast at www.sotvchurch.com/shepherdcast.
